What Young People May Ask

We live in a time where there is so much information. Most of the time during my day I often hear, Just Google it. The internet can give you so much information on subjects such as health, Love, Life, Etc..

There is so much good information and of course bad information. I gave an illustration about money and how to tell the difference between real and fake money. Study the real money and it would be easy to tell what fake money looks like.

Our Young are being influenced by what found on the internet, what's found in articles, what's found in our homes, and by those who we choose to associate with. There are dangers everywhere. The question becomes how to avoid dangers. How to see it coming so you can avoid it, how to prevent yourself from putting yourself in a situation that puts you in danger. Let me give you an example.

Let say you had a friend who smoked weed. Do you think it's possible that maybe you will smoking weed because you are always around that person? Notice the way your friend speaks or maybe an expression that he or she always says, and now your saying it. Your associates in truth and determine if you will be successful in the future and it can also determine if you will sooner or later be arrested or even killed.

Scripture tells us that Bad association spoils useful habits and do you not agree that, this scripture speaks the truth? Of course it does. Let me give you another example.

We live in a society that seems bent on stimulating sexual activity by means of television programs, advertising, books, magazines, music, and films. Our teenagers see young models their own age acting sexy and selling sexy clothes; they see adolescent sex promoted. In fact, cable television and videocassette recorders have given many youths easy access to hard-core pornography.

Serious problems can also result when a youth attempts to alleviate such arousal by masturbation. The Bible urges us to Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness which is found at Colossians 3:5. Masturbation is an unclean habit to be avoided by and is the very opposite of ‘deadening sexual appetite. On the contrary, it stimulates and nurtures it. All too often, such desire becomes reality. The Bible writer James states this in James chapter 1 verse 14 and 15: Each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin.

Teenage Pregnancy is another problem. Is it just me or does it seem as the worlds standards have lowered themselves that morals in the inner circle meaning the family circle has went down the drain? One question that many have is dating. I've heard this before " I am going to let my daughter date " and the girl was 14. Let's look at the possible chain of events that could take place if allowed.

1. Father and Mother allows Child to date
2. Child becomes sexually active with boyfriend/girlfriend
3. Child gets pregnant

If you say this won't happen to you then you need to ask those parents who have gone through this. Nobody is immune to this. What else could happen? Let's see

1. Father and Mother allows Child to Date
2. Child now has an STD maybe Aids or another STD
3. Now the Child cannot have children or reproduce because of a mistake with a guy who she thought she loved or he loved her

If you say this won't happen to you then you need to ask those parents who have gone through this. Nobody is immune to this. What else could happen? Let's see

1. Father and Mother allows Child to Date.
2. Child goes out with guy who puts something in the drink or gives alcohol.
3. Child is drunk or drugged, and gets taken advantage off, is raped.

Again, if you say this won't happen to you? Please tell me which planet you are living on because Earth isn't it. This can happen to us all. We are not immune to it but as mentioned there are things as parents that we can do to protect our children.

Children asks questions because they are not prepared for the real world. They ask questions to see what advise you can give them. They look to you for answers. You are and should be the person that they can turn to, can talk to, can look to, and should look to. And Fathers, who should you look to for answers? You cannot and should not look to anyone other than Jesus for Advise for he is our Head.

He is the best person that we could and should look to for answers. Every question that the young may have, Jesus has the answer. Every danger that our young could face and how to avoid it, Jesus has the answer. Every chance we get we should look to Jesus, for again he has the answer.

Of course in this system of things we can't avoid all problems. We can't avoid all issues. If I said we could, I would be lying to you. If I said that all will be ok in this system of things, I would be lying to you. If I said that nothing won't happen to you if you walk down that dark street, I would be lying to you. We live in a world where anything can happen to us but what I'm talking about is our spiritual well being. If we protect that, we won't face most of the issues the world has. We won't commit fornication. We won't get drunk, we won't use foul language, we won't abuse our children, our children won't get arrested for doing something illegal, our children won't get pregnant, our children won't do illegal drugs. Why?

Because again we had the question and Jesus had the answer. He told us what to avoid, he told us how to avoid, and why we should avoid. If you were driving and saw a sign that said Danger Road Ends ahead would you keep driving or would you turn around? Many in this world keep driving. Don't be that person...The maker of the sign itself gave us advance warning on how to avoid dangers. Till tomorrow.....
