The Cross

Last weekend I watched the Ten Commandments. I was amazing on how good the special effects were. Having the water part or the fire come down from the sky was cool for it's time. I can only imagine if they made that movie today with our technology today.

In the movie after crossing the red sea, Moses went up to get the commandments. While up there the people made for themselves a golden calf. In the ten commandments itself it brings up images or idols. Notice what Deuteronomy chapter 4 verses 15 through 18 mentions in the New World Translation and it reads:

And YOU must take good care of YOUR souls, because YOU did not see any form on the day of Jehovah’s speaking to YOU in Ho′reb out of the middle of the fire, that YOU may not act ruinously and may not really make for yourselves a carved image, the form of any symbol, the representation of male or female, the representation of any beast that is in the earth, the representation of any winged bird that flies in the heavens, the representation of anything moving on the ground, the representation of any fish that is in the waters under the earth;

The King James version reads this way:

15Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day [that] the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

16 Lest ye corrupt [yourselves], and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

17 The likeness of any beast that [is] on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that [is] in the waters beneath the earth:

The good news bible version reads this way:

15 "When the Lord spoke to you from the fire on Mount Sinai, you did not see any form. For your own good, then, make certain 16 that you do not sin by making for yourselves an idol in any form at all - whether man or woman, 17 animal or bird, 18 reptile or fish:

Looking at each bible and verses it clearly states not to make graven images. The question then becomes this. Show me the verse in the bible, in any bible where it says that it's ok to make the Cross? Show me where it states that the Cross is the only image that is approved by God to use in worship.

You won't find it because it's not there. So if God tells you not to create images and yet you create images doesn't that mean that you aren't listening to God? If you say the cross isn't an image used in worship, then why have the cross at all. If the bible said it was ok then I can understand but it's no where.

None of his followers wore crosses. So if it's not in the bible how did crosses get started? Well, In the 4th Century, it was Constantine who went to battle using crosses as symbols.

He believed that it was the crosses that allowed them to win the battle, and therefore soon declared Christianity to be the religion of the land. The shape of the [two-beamed cross] had its origin in ancient Chaldea, and was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz (being in the shape of the mystic Tau, the initial of his name) in that country and in adjacent lands, including Egypt.

By the middle of the 3rd cent. A.D. the churches had either departed from, or had travestied, certain doctrines of the Christian faith. In order to increase the prestige of the apostate ecclesiastical system pagans were received into the churches apart from regeneration by faith, and were permitted largely to retain their pagan signs and symbols. Hence the Tau or T, in its most frequent form, with the cross-piece lowered, was adopted to stand for the cross of Christ. This info can be found in the Encyclopædia Britannica (1946), Vol. 6, p. 753.

Historians and researchers have found no evidence to validate the use of the cross among the early Christians. Interestingly, the book History of the Cross quotes one late 17th-century writer who asked: “Can it be pleasing to the blessed Jesus to behold His disciples glorying in the image of that instrument of capital punishment on which He [supposedly] patiently and innocently suffered, despising the shame?” How would you answer?

Worship acceptable to God does not require objects or images. “What agreement does God’s temple have with idols?” Paul asked. Notice 2 Corinthians 6:14-16. Nowhere do the Scriptures suggest that a Christian’s worship should include the use of a likeness of the instrument used to impale Jesus. —Compare Matthew 15:3; Mark 7:13.

Think about it. If your son died on a cross, would you really wear around your neck or have in your home that very item that you son died on? It would be weird if you did. So there you go and I'm sure you can find more info on how crosses came into play with religion.

Friday

Friday is here again. Me so happy. I'm taking Monday off to spend some QT with the wife and kids. I think we will go out to eat and have some fun at a park or something. Well, this week Steve Jobs died. When I heard the news I was shock and sad. He was only 56 years old.

The one thing I think that impressed me the most about Steve was his focus. When he set his mind to something, he did it and did not let anything hold him back. I watched a video that Steve gave when he was telling his life story. Some of the quotes he gave was right to the point and truthful. Here is some of what he said.

Quote:
If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
End Quote:

Here is another quote that was amazing.

Quote:
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it.
End Quote:

Here is another

Quote:
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
End Quote:

There is so much I want to do in this life but my goal and my ultimate goal is to reach the next life, the next system.

Who really is our Friend??

I recall that when I started to study with Jehovah's Witnesses, one of the things that crossed my mind was the fact that Witnesses were made fun of. On Tv if there was a knock at the door a joke would say OH it was a Jehovah Witness.

I didn't understand then why witnesses were made fun of. As I started to learn the bible, questions that I've always had were answered. It made sense. I always had a strong belief in God but to know his name was amazing. I thought Jehovah's Witnesses was what they were called but little did I know at the time that Witnesses took the name Jehovah because it was based on a scripture.

So I learned that God had a name. It wasn't only witnesses that knew that God had a name for a saw many programs after the fact that explained that Jehovah is indeed God's name. I was so excited that I knew God's name. Could I rush out and tell my friends? I did indeed. Did they care? No

I continued on with them while at the same time learning the truth. As my knowledge grew, I figured I would share what I learned. Did they care? No. As a matter of fact they didn't want me around anymore. They started to call me preacher. When I came around it was like, a few would say. OK I have to go and off they went.

Then they would talk behind my back. Then rumors would start on how I was doing this or that or whatever. My one time friends who I almost died for spoke as if they never knew me. Funny thing was, I was still Gilbert or was I.

I was no longer the Gilbert they knew for I started to put on the new personality. I stopped Drugs, I stopped smoking, I stopped getting drunk. I wasn't even intimate with my Girlfriend anymore till we got married.

I wanted Jehovah to accept me as I have accepted him into my life. I knew that because I was changing that those who I considered my best friends were no longer my best friends. Can I still hang around them? Sure it was my choice if I wanted to but scripture does say bad association spoils useful habits so if I were to go around them, It was to in some way get to talk about Jehovah.

If I couldn't then there is no reason to me too go around them. Because we are imperfect. There was always that chance that they could influence me. I still see some of them today although maybe ever other year or so. Its not like I go to their houses and hang out. I run into them every now and then is what I mean.

Because of how I am. I love to play and have fun and joke it was easy for me to made not only new friends but gained brothers and sisters. See some brothers and quiet but you have to break the ice and have fun. It gets them out of their shell.

But not only those around your age but everyone. Our older brothers and sisters are a blessing. I love chatting with them making jokes. I save my fart sounds for the young and my joking for teenagers and my old school jokes for the older ones.

So did I gain because of the choices I made. Yes I did. What did I lose? Nothing at all because by being around those who did drugs, smoked, or got drunk I could have went down that same road again. Like Lots wife, why look back when we have so much to look forward to.

Been Some time

/enter building

Since I posted but I strongly felt the need to. Someone I know had posted a video about Jehovah's Witnesses and posted This " Came across this video series, 7 x 10 minute short films, wow is all I can say .. Pyramids ? Really ? Pretty crazy they adjust policy/prophecy every few years. Very informative, well documented, with supporting video, pictures, and PUBLISHED information"

I was going to hit the reply button only because the video is no where near accurate. Of course many will say what ever they want to say and in truth, they have a right to say whatever they wish but the truth is this. Please research before you believe anything you watch. I strongly recommend that you even research witnesses. Our Website is Http://www.watchtower.org. Everything we believe in is there. Now, let me address what was mentioned in the video.

Most brothers and sisters today know about what's going on in the world. They know about FreeMasons. They know about the Immunati, Skull and Bones. Club of Rome. Yes brothers are very aware of them. The question is, is Brother Russell a FreeMason. Was he ever a FreeMason. Does the fact that his gravestone is near a Pyramid and that the Pyramid prove that he was indeed a Freemason? This is where research comes into play.

There are many people who insist that Russell is buried under a pyramid monument; a few claim that he is buried in a pyramid tomb. This is often stated in the context of fostering other false claims that Russell was “into” some form of spiritism and/or pagan/heathen idolatry or occultism. Often this claim is associated with the false claim again that Russell was a member of the Mason’s organization, and it is thought that in some way such a pyramid must be Masonic, or in some way evil, sinister, etc. They speak of Russell’s pyramid tombstone, pyramid grave marker, pyramid gravestone, as though Russell was either buried in or under a pyramid.

When Russell died it was a normal gravestone. Not to mentioned that Russell himself never claimed to be “The Laodicean Messenger”. What many misrepresent as being Russell’s gravestone, pyramid tomb or tombstone, grave marker, etc., is the pyramid monument that Joseph Rutherford had constructed in the year 1919, years after Russell died.

First, the pyramid monument is not Russell’s gravestone, tombstone, or grave marker. Rutherford had this monument constructed in the middle of the plot owned by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, not just to honor Russell, but to honor all who died while working at the Watch Tower headquarters. There are many names inscribed on that monument, not just Russell’s. Of course many videos don't show or say that. Nevertheless, there is no one buried in or under that monument.

It was also claimed that Bohnet a close associate, before Russell had died, received authorization from Charles Taze Russell for the building of such a monument. Russell’s written instructions, however, never mentions the building of such a monument, so it may be that Russell never actually authorized such a monument. Such an extravagant use of funds would seem to be out of harmony with the character of Russell; on the other hand, Rutherford came to be known for his flamboyant methods.

Whether Russell was buried in or under a pyramid, however, is not as important as realizing why many wish to have Russell buried under such a monument, that is, to further the false claims that Russell was an occultist, or that Russell was into some kind of spiritistism, Satanism, demonism, etc. In reality, the Biblical study of the Great Pryamid has nothing to do with such.

Other than the extravagance, however, There is nothing concerning Rutherford’s monument to be objectionable, although many, by use of imaginative fanaticism, seem to see “occultism”, “Masonic symbolisms”, “astrology”, “spiritism”, and many other evil things regarding Rutherford’s monument, as well as in or on the books and publications of Charles Taze Russell. It is not that the graphical symbols, such as the “cross and crown”, are actually “Masonic”, or “occultic”, etc., but this is what many are being led to believe through imaginative assumptions that they are; and what is being imagined is then presented to be fact and proof, for instance, that Russell was a member of the Masons, and/or that Russell was, as they usually put it, “into” some kind of occult/spiritistic/demonic/evil/devious/deceptive “practice” and/or “plot”.

If you go to wikipedia which of course isn't always the best source it clears states at the end of the page that Russell himself said he was NOT a FreeMason and that being a FreeMason would conflict with being a Christian. Here is the link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Taze_Russell

Now another Myth. End of the world 1914. Did brother Russell really say that the world would end? Folks have you ever read what Brother Russell wrote about 1914? It was in The Bible Students Monthly, January, 1914, issue. The article relates his viewpoint concerning “the end of the world,” and how he was not expecting the “end of the world” in 1914. Indeed, the article further shows that Russell was not expecting the second coming of Jesus in 1914, as some have claimed. Indeed, some have quoted the large bold headline out its context, which reads “End of World in 1914,” and claimed that Russell was preaching that the world would end in 1914. In fact, the smaller bold headline underneath the large headline continues by saying, “Not the View of Pastor Russell.” Thus, in fact, the tract denies that Brother Russell was expecting “the end of the world” in 1914. What was said was that the Gentile Times will end in 1914.

So why all the false info and what exactly is true? 1914 clearly stated that it was the end of the Gentile times. Not the end of the world but a beginning of Christ is King.

Hmm what about 1975. That is another date. Many point to a Watchtower or Watchtowers leading up to 1975 that mentioned that Witnesses clearly said the End will come? Watch Tower Society literature did not state dogmatically that 1975 would definitely mark the end but in 1980 the Watch Tower Society admitted its responsibility in building up hope regarding that year. One of the Watchtowers dated 1968, August 15 issue page 494, I hope I got that right but the subheading is 1975! . . . AND FAR BEYOND!

Many point to that issue as proof that it was said that the End will happen then. It was reasoned that in that year the 6000 year of man would be up and that the 7th day rest would begin or something like that. But note what was mentioned in that same article and I Quote" Even if one cannot see beyond 1975, is this any reason to be less active? The apostles could not see even this far; they knew nothing about 1975. All they could see was a short time ahead in which to finish the work assigned to them. Hence, there was a ring of alarm and a cry of urgency in all their writings.

And rightly so. If they had delayed or dillydallied and had been complacent with the idea the end was some thousands of years off they would never have finished running the race set before them. No, they ran hard and they ran fast, and they won! It was a life or death matter with them.

So too with Jehovah’s faithful witnesses in this latter half of the twentieth century. They have the true Christian point of view. Their strenuous evangelistic activity is not something peculiar to this present decade. They have not dedicated their lives to serve Jehovah only until 1975. Christians have been running this way ever since Christ Jesus blazed the trail and commanded his disciples. “Follow me!” So keep this same mental attitude in you that was in Christ Jesus. Let nothing slow you down or cause you to tire and give out. Those who will flee Babylon the Great and this Satanic system of things are now running for their lives, headed for God’s kingdom, and they will not stop at 1975. O no! They will keep on in this glorious way that leads to everlasting life, praising and serving Jehovah for ever and ever! End Quote"

Did you notice the line that said They ahve not dedicated their lives to serve Jehovah till 1975. Also notice in that same paragraph that it says that they will not stop at 1975 so if it was clear that it was said that it would end then why write the article that was dated in 1968 concerning 1975 telling brothers that they would not stop at 1975 being servants of Jehovah. So that's clear to me that Yes there was a possibility that it could have ended but in that same Watchtower it stated that nobody knows but in Truth I can say that it will end in ten years, should that mean that I would stop being a witness and wait till the ninth year to be a good servant? Common sense folks....

Now about changing what is said. Witnesses don't look at it that way but understand exactly how change happens. Do you consider Peter, Luke, John or any of them good servants? When Jesus was asked when the end will come and what will be the sign of your presence do you really think they understood what Jesus meant?

Even Judas thought that Jesus came for another reason and was wrong. What about John when he saw the visions of the beasts in Revelation. Do you think he understood what he saw? Scripture calls it a sacred secret or new light or food at the proper time. John did not understand what he saw at that time. He wrote what he saw. As we get closer to this end, when ever it ends there is a clearer understanding of scripture.

You might ask, why this late in this system. Why get new light or new understanding. Folks listen in the past Witnesses smoked that changed. Witnesses had idols, that changed. Things change based on light that is received meaning a clearer understanding of scripture. For those reading you won't get it and will continue to bash witnesses and that's ok if you do. You have that right but I will point this out

Based on scripture

1. Do witnesses commit fornication? If they do it's token service and they are hiding something because those who follow the bible like witnesses do will not commit fornication. If you do, can you really say you follow God? No that means witnesses are giving token service. Token meaning in front of the brothers you are one way and behind the brothers backs you are someone they don't even know. But if you practice fornication in General. You really would bash witnesses when you don't even follow that command from God? Remember Jehovah can see all...Think about that the next time you are about to commit fornication and then on Sunday say I love God.

2. Is Jesus God? Many point to John 1:1 as proof that Jesus is God or even Isaiah 9:6 but yet I can point to tons and tons of scripture that prove otherwise and yet the only one that is ever mentioned is John 1:1. Well, it does say the word is God but I'm sure you can at least Agree Satan himself is a God. Oh what, can there only be one God? Look at 2nd cor 4.4 where Satan is Called the GOD of this system of things which clearly means that God is nothing more than a Title. Satan isn't even the name he was given when he was created. He made himself Satan but yet he is a God. Can't argue with scripture.

3. Heaven do we all die and go there? Do you think Moses as good as he was went to Heaven? What about Noah. Think he went to Heaven? If you say Yes then let me ask you, what was the purpose of Jesus coming to the Earth if it was already possible to get to Heaven? To be saved? Saved from what? If we already had the option there before Jesus came to Earth then really there was no point in him coming at all. Jesus said it clearly when he stated at John chapter 11 verses 24 though 27 where Jesus was talking to Martha. Notice what he said and I quote " Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?” She said to him: “Yes, Lord; I have believed that you are the Christ the Son of God, the One coming into the world.

Folks Do you believe this? He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies will come to life. Stop there and think about that. Did people die in Jesus time? Yes. Did everybody? No. Are they alive today? NO. Now, Jesus said and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all? Who is he taking about and if death is our only way to get into Heaven well it sounds like believing in Jesus will take that option away. Sigh........... The proof is in the pudding........

Folks I have to stop now because I've been writing for about two hours non stop and I need a break. I'm very sorry it's so long but I'm very very passionate about my faith. I am a Jehovah's Witness. I love Jehovah and Jesus for what they both have done for me, my family, my brothers and sisters in the congregation and those who have yet to enter this family of united brothers and sisters.

Tuesday

First Corinthians Chapter 6 verse 18 says this " Flee from fornication. Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body "

A person is sinning against his own body. Ask yourself these questions. How would I feel if I gave in to sexual immorality?

You might gain the immediate approval of some peers, but how would you feel later on when you are with your parents or other brothers and sisters at the Kingdom Hall?

What would your feelings be when you tried to pray to God? Would you really be willing to sacrifice a clean standing with God?

Notice Paul’s counsel at Ephesians 5:3: “Let fornication and uncleanness of every sort or greediness not even be mentioned among you, just as it befits holy people.

Paul here is saying fornication shouldn't even be discussed. Its a mistake to lower one's moral and spiritual standards.

We must as Parents protect ourselves and our children from the corrupting influences of Satan’s spirit.

Think about this. Computer users all over the world do what they can to prevent their equipment from becoming infected with malicious viruses that can destroy data, interfere with operation, and even take over the machine and use it in an attack on other computers.

Should we as brothers and sister be any less vigilant in protecting ourselves from Satan’s system of things? This world is full of contamination.

Notice also what's mentioned at Colossians chapter 3 verse 5: Deaden, therefore, YOUR body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

The word deaden stresses the strong measures that must be taken to fight against immoral fleshly desires.

How serious is fornication? Notice what Jesus himself said at Matthew chapter 19 verse 9: " I say to YOU that whoever divorces his wife, except on the ground of fornication, and marries another commits adultery "

Back in the day Among the Jews, engaged couples were viewed as already married. The two, however, did not begin living together as husband and wife until the wedding formalities had been completed.

Engagement was so binding that if because of a change of heart on the part of the bridegroom or for some other compelling reason the marriage did not take place, the young woman was not free to marry until she had obtained a divorce certificate.

If an engaged woman’s husband died before the wedding, she was considered a widow. On the other hand, if she committed fornication during her engagement, she was considered an adulteress and was sentenced to death!!

Recall When Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce Joseph, he literally fled from her. Joseph’s conscience had been molded by earlier indications of God’s thinking.

Paul also talks about the works of the flesh in Galatians chapter 5 verses 19 through 21 " Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom "

It's clear that sex before marriage is wrong. Discussing sex before marriage is wrong. Having sex outside a marriage is wrong. As a Parent I put my full trust in my children that they would respect my wishes in terms of having Sex before marriage.

When that Trust is violated, it would not only bring pain to us but also hurt and damage his relationship with Jehovah. The world may not care what it does. There are plenty of people who sleep around not married but yet go to Church and claim they worship God.

Doesn't the scriptures above show that GOD does not approve of Sex before Marriage? But yet people do it. I'm sure you know many who do. They have girlfriends or boyfriends who they sleep with. That is fornication.

Do you think Jehovah hears the prayer of those who do such things? Jehovah listens to prayers of honest hearted persons seeking friendship with him, and he is not partial. He does not play favorites or honor one national group, race, or even sports team, over another.

If God did hear the prayers of sports contestants and both teams prayed to him for victory, which one should he bless? Or if a player was seriously injured during a game, would God be to blame?

Like so, if someone was doing the will of God vs someone who wasn't. Who do you think he hears?

Before I close. I'll end in saying that Trust is something that once lost it's very difficult to gain again. Based on what I mentioned in terms of Fornication, once trust is lost it's hard to gain again. Imagine how my wife and I would have felt if fornication was committed. The pain in her eyes because one of her children would have went so far down the wrong path that he or she even felt that it's to late.

Others may not care about that so much because hey it's normal right? It isn't normal to those trying to do their best to serve God. GOD does not approve. So we as Parents should not approve and we as Parents should be an example to our Children. It's like telling your child not to smoke and a Parent smokes two packs a day.

Trust.....

Wednesday

I think I will now update my blog every Wednesday. There is plenty to say but at times I feel like the words are trapped and only frustration will allow it to come out. I more or less stopped using Facebook. I won't say that I won't check it every now and then but for the most part I'm done with it.

Reason: My son told me something that I felt was so accurate and eye opening. Yes I noticed it before but in truth did not want to see or closed my eyes to what Facebook really is.

I can sum it up in one word: Drama. Never ending drama and useless one liners about what a person is doing, has done, will do, it's never ending. The posts are mini stories about how one hates this or that or as I call it Drama talk.

Post like: Man I can't stand what happened

What's missing? Well WHY DON'T YOU SAY WHAT HAPPENED?

Or others who use such foul language when trying to make a useless point it's making my head hurt and then in the very next post talk about how they love God. I thought I would open many up to information on what really is going on in the world and just how bad it is.

Did you know that I talked about how Gas would be where it is because something will happen in the middle east. This was before Egypt. I told many about what's coming and to prepare in terms of getting food and water while you can still buy it.

Think they will listen? I told many about the Japan quake before it happened. I mentioned many other things but it falls on ears that really can't hear. Instead, what people talk about is how they hate life or I have a headache or whatever.

Anyway - I deleted most of all my pictures from FB. I'm ore or less done with it. Stress at work, Stress with Family. My sister is a pain. I'm very close to blocking her email address. I don't even answer her calls.

Anyway, till next week.

Is it me

Am I being mean? Well, I have to fill you in. On this blog I spoke of my sister and her issues. I spoke of her children often. This is why I ask am I being mean.

My mother was released from the Hospital after suffering a stroke. She was in the hospital for about three months. During her stay, she almost died twice but she pulled through.

It was amazing to see such family support from everyone. My brother even reunited with my mother and made peace. During that time, the question became who is going to take care of my mother when she is released.

Also during that time, people moved into my mom's house without her permission. My sister said that she will take care of my mom and quit her job and that my mom will move with her.

But, my mother would have to pay $200.00 rent a month. My mother said no, I will stay in my own house so my sister agreed and would take care of my mother. My mothers social worker would pay whomever to take care of my mother so my sister's idea was to quit her job and take care of my mother.

So the social worker sends out paperwork and visits my mother. After a month or so my sister how says she cannot take care of my mother. She needs to go back to work etc. In my mind I thought she said she was going to quit her job. So I contacted the social worker to find out if we can find someone.

The social worker told me sure, we can find someone but she's only approved for 3 hours a day. I was in shock. Three hours a day? The social worker said yes. There are two others that are old enough that live in the house that can cook, clean, and help your mother.

She then said, why should I pay if family can help take care of her. It made sense but then it hit me. I then realized why my sister said she can no longer take care of my mother. It was because of the money.

See, my mother would get more help if nobody lived with her but because both my sisters kids lived there, they figured they should help and I 100 percent agree. Let me take you back a bit. My sister has 5 kids. One boy and the rest girls.

My sister was never the responsible type growing up. She had her first boy Freddie. Of course my sister didn't raise him. My grandmother did. My sister had a girl, Vanessa, my sister didn't raise her as well. My sister agreed with her father, that he should raise her.

Then my sister had three more kids. One from a guy, I can't remember his name and two others from Joey. Now, do you think my sister broke the cycle on raising her own children? NO

My mother raised her three kids. Today 4/9 my sister who never had responsibility in her entire life was talking about putting my mother in a home. Excuse me? My sisters kids are grown now, in their teens and two of them live with my mom and one of them lives like two houses away or something but NONE of them want to help my mother.

Excuse me? My mother raised you and if it wasn't for her, you would have been in foster care because your own mother did not want you. Yes I said it. Your own mother could not take care of you. You were headed to foster homes until my mother stepped in and took all of you (sisters kids) and raised you.

Now that she needs you, you can't help? You live there with her. So this is where we are today, they want my mom in a home. I yelled at my sister and explained what I said here today. I told my sister you owe mom because in truth she does. My sister again is trying to back out of taking care of my mother. I have four children that I'm raising it's already hard for me.

Her kids are grown and two of them as mentioned live there but they said they can't help anymore. My mom got pissed because many moved in and don't want to leave. My mom wants peace.

My sister doesn't want to do anything anymore so I got upset. I told my sister, you owe mom because as soon as she was done raising us, she has to raise your children until she got into the state that she's in today. How dare you. You owe her.

Because they would only pay you 3 hours you cannot take care of her anymore? For my part, I'm guilty. I could do more and I will do more but as mentioned my kids are young and not grown like her kids. My kids live with me unlike her kids who still stay with my mother.

So I told my sister that my mother is NOT going to a home. She will come with me before I allow that to happen and I said that if she comes here with me. Don't expect to come over any time you feel like it.

See my sister has Hep C and maybe Aids and maybe TB but she doesn't act like she does. She is not careful and could infect anyone. So I don't allow her at my house. I don't allow her around my kids. She has never seen my youngest son.

I don't trust that if she has a cut on her finger, that she would put her finger in my sons mouth because she is careless in that sense. So no, she isn't allowed here and I told her if Mom comes with me, don't expect anyone to come over. She then said " Well you don't invite me anyway " I said exactly.

I was upset because I feel like she owes my mom and her kids owe my mom. My mom doesn't have much life left I'm sure but she wasted her time and life raising my sisters kids because my sister did not want them.

She selected having fun and taking drugs over her children. That to me is unforgivable. I left home when I was 13 years old and I never looked back. I took care of myself. I wasn't an angel by no means but I knew that when my son was born, my first son Jesse that I as a man needed to improve so he can be proud of his father and proud of his mother.

None of my kids were ever on welfare. I took care of them as I do today. So yes I am upset. My mom gets a check every month. That money disappears. The food purchased with that money, disappears. Their cellphones, my mom pays for it every month and everyone in that house does nothing in terms of paying my mother rent.

Like I said, if my mother comes in my house. She isn't paying anything at all. She isn't paying for their food, their clothes, their phones. If they cannot help her, then why should she continue to help them.

While my Mom was in the hospital. My sister spent much of my mothers money. I wonder if she will ever pay it back. My sister got a parking ticket one time for visiting my mom, she took the money from my mom to pay for her ticket. She parked there. It was her responsibility to pay for it but I guess History tells me that when a person is not capable of being responsible, why expect anything less....
