First Corinthians Chapter 6 verse 18 says this " Flee from fornication. Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body "

A person is sinning against his own body. Ask yourself these questions. How would I feel if I gave in to sexual immorality?

You might gain the immediate approval of some peers, but how would you feel later on when you are with your parents or other brothers and sisters at the Kingdom Hall?

What would your feelings be when you tried to pray to God? Would you really be willing to sacrifice a clean standing with God?

Notice Paul’s counsel at Ephesians 5:3: “Let fornication and uncleanness of every sort or greediness not even be mentioned among you, just as it befits holy people.

Paul here is saying fornication shouldn't even be discussed. Its a mistake to lower one's moral and spiritual standards.

We must as Parents protect ourselves and our children from the corrupting influences of Satan’s spirit.

Think about this. Computer users all over the world do what they can to prevent their equipment from becoming infected with malicious viruses that can destroy data, interfere with operation, and even take over the machine and use it in an attack on other computers.

Should we as brothers and sister be any less vigilant in protecting ourselves from Satan’s system of things? This world is full of contamination.

Notice also what's mentioned at Colossians chapter 3 verse 5: Deaden, therefore, YOUR body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

The word deaden stresses the strong measures that must be taken to fight against immoral fleshly desires.

How serious is fornication? Notice what Jesus himself said at Matthew chapter 19 verse 9: " I say to YOU that whoever divorces his wife, except on the ground of fornication, and marries another commits adultery "

Back in the day Among the Jews, engaged couples were viewed as already married. The two, however, did not begin living together as husband and wife until the wedding formalities had been completed.

Engagement was so binding that if because of a change of heart on the part of the bridegroom or for some other compelling reason the marriage did not take place, the young woman was not free to marry until she had obtained a divorce certificate.

If an engaged woman’s husband died before the wedding, she was considered a widow. On the other hand, if she committed fornication during her engagement, she was considered an adulteress and was sentenced to death!!

Recall When Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce Joseph, he literally fled from her. Joseph’s conscience had been molded by earlier indications of God’s thinking.

Paul also talks about the works of the flesh in Galatians chapter 5 verses 19 through 21 " Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom "

It's clear that sex before marriage is wrong. Discussing sex before marriage is wrong. Having sex outside a marriage is wrong. As a Parent I put my full trust in my children that they would respect my wishes in terms of having Sex before marriage.

When that Trust is violated, it would not only bring pain to us but also hurt and damage his relationship with Jehovah. The world may not care what it does. There are plenty of people who sleep around not married but yet go to Church and claim they worship God.

Doesn't the scriptures above show that GOD does not approve of Sex before Marriage? But yet people do it. I'm sure you know many who do. They have girlfriends or boyfriends who they sleep with. That is fornication.

Do you think Jehovah hears the prayer of those who do such things? Jehovah listens to prayers of honest hearted persons seeking friendship with him, and he is not partial. He does not play favorites or honor one national group, race, or even sports team, over another.

If God did hear the prayers of sports contestants and both teams prayed to him for victory, which one should he bless? Or if a player was seriously injured during a game, would God be to blame?

Like so, if someone was doing the will of God vs someone who wasn't. Who do you think he hears?

Before I close. I'll end in saying that Trust is something that once lost it's very difficult to gain again. Based on what I mentioned in terms of Fornication, once trust is lost it's hard to gain again. Imagine how my wife and I would have felt if fornication was committed. The pain in her eyes because one of her children would have went so far down the wrong path that he or she even felt that it's to late.

Others may not care about that so much because hey it's normal right? It isn't normal to those trying to do their best to serve God. GOD does not approve. So we as Parents should not approve and we as Parents should be an example to our Children. It's like telling your child not to smoke and a Parent smokes two packs a day.

Trust.....
