I mentioned this before but I cannot say it enough of how proud I am of Jesse. He follows his heart. He's never done any drugs, he's never smoked, he's responsible. Of course everyone makes mistakes and he had his fair share but for the most part, he's a good young man.
I recall reading that someone mentioned that Cedes was wasting her life and time and that she can get together with Jesse later and if he loves her he will be there. Which pretty much means go out with other guys. Do whatever with those guys and expect Jesse to be ok with that.
The pressure to date is interesting. It normally happens because of others. Nobody should pressure anyone to date anyone. Dating is serious. We take it serious. Most teenagers are only after one thing when it comes to young woman.
It's hard to find someone who truly loves you for you. Do you know someone who went out with someone and now they are not a virgin? Do you think that they should have saved themselves for marriage?
Kissing leads to touching intimate body parts and it's normally the guy who starts. Then a guy would say I love you in order to get what he wants. As a father of two girls I am going to prepare them so they know what's coming.
Jesse was never pressured to date anyone. He knew who he wanted and will wait no matter how long it takes. Jesse knows that in this system everything is temporary. He wants to make sure that when he says I do that it will last 4ever.
Think about this as well. What if Jesse was just like any other guy. Can you heart take it if you knew his lips touched another girls lips? Holding another girls hands? Hugging and calling another girl? What if a friend said Jesse you are wasting your time, go out and have fun. If she loves you, she will be there.
That's immature and something a child would say. If Jesse had a so called friend trying to pressure him into Dating and using the excuse of wasting years, I wouldn't call that a friend.
That's like a friend saying try pot it won't kill you. Drink this alcohol, your parents won't find out. That's immature thinking. Don't think that way.
If you would be hurt that Jesse would do all those things, then how would he feel if you did all those things. Don't ever let anyone pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do.
You do what you feel is right!!
