When to depend on the Father

As young children we look to our parents for answers. We look to our parents for support. We look to them at times because we need a shoulder to cry on. As adults we forget that our parents are still there. We forget that even though we are older, they still have wisdom to share. Our relationship with God is no different and it's more or less the same. As a child we are taught to pray and throw our worries on him. We are taught to pray before we eat, when we wake, and when we sleep.

As an adult we tend to forget that God is there and like our parents, God has wisdom to share. At times adults loose that close relationship they once had with their parents. It could be that maybe the parents were abusive. It could be that the parents were to strict expecting their child to be perfect in school. It could be that the parent expected or should I say demanded that their child be perfect in all that they do.

There is no parent that is perfect in this world and they should not expect their child to be perfect. Mistakes will happen and at times the child needs to learn some of life's lessons on their own. It could be anything that causes strain on the relationship between children and their parents. But let me ask you? Even though parents can be harsh and demanding, What has God done to you?

Have you stopped praying because you got older? Have you stopped praying you felt that God didn't answer you? Have you really looked into what God is saying and have you applied what you have learned? There isn't one person who is reading this or hearing this that doesn't have problems. The problem is we forgot to look at God as the person who should guide us. We forgot to look to him for answers. There is nothing that he doesn't answer that would not make our lives better.

It's one thing to believe in God. Anyone can believe that he is but do people really depend on God? Do they look to him for answers? Sadly most of the world doesn't. Most only pray when they want that new TV or wish to win the lotto. Have you ever cried while praying? I mean so intense that you cry trying to get the words out?

Jesus prayed the night before he died so hard so intense that even scripture mentioned that his sweat became as drops of blood falling to the ground. Jesus mentioned that The spirit,is eager, but the flesh is weak. All of us need help and we cannot depend on humans who are no where near perfect. We need to depend on God. We need to pray to God. We need to look to him for answers. We need to apply the answers given. If we do, we will find that inner peace that so many lack in this system of things. We will find that our dead loved ones will return, we will find that in the future no one will say that I am sick, we will find that our parents that are alive are not aging any longer and that they are returning to their youth, we will find that Satan is no longer there to hurt us spiritually.

God has the answers, we just need to ask and apply the answers given. He is there to protect us, to guide us, to show us the way. Pray to him....Not only when times are bad but talk to him when times are good. Thank him for all that you have and all that you look forward to. Depend on him.........
