A very Proud Father

Last Night my son Jesse was on the Mic, on stage, and giving his Bible reading. The bible reading was Exodus 1:1-19. Only 19 versus but imagine getting on stage reading in front of almost 100 folks. It can be scary.

I was working at the time but caught middle of his reading over the phone. I'm so glad you can call in and listen to the meeting if you cannot make it. After his reading was over I felt proud that he is moving forward and toward his spiritual goals.

In this system of things it's very hard to maintain a moral balance. Kids are doing whatever, saying whatever, having sexual intercourse, doing drugs, and of course have no spiritual sense of things. I've even spoken to a few who dismiss the fact that there is a God.

Youths growing up in Christian homes should know that one of the greatest threats to their spirituality is materialism. Why? Because to have many fine things, like houses, cars, boats, televisions, and so forth, is equated with success, and youths want desperately to be successful.

While there is nothing wrong with possessions in themselves, the Bible warns against “the love of money” and the ‘determination to be rich.’ It shows wealth to be deceptive, because it can neither deliver from death nor give health and life. Riches can lead one away from the faith, even cause one to forget Jehovah.

Therefore, the Bible wisely counsels: “Let your manner of life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things. For he has said: ‘I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you.’” Youth must come to appreciate and trust this promise of God, that he will not forsake them. Then they will know that it is “the blessing of Jehovah—that is what makes rich, and he adds no pain with it.”

How can Christian youths be guarded against the subtle snares of materialism? First, parents can help greatly by seeing to it that their own lives are free from the “love of money,” that they reflect a contentment with the things that they have, and that they set a strong spiritual tone in the home.

Parents can also direct attention to the Scriptural examples of Jesus and his apostles. Jesus said: “The Son of man has nowhere to lay down his head.” Peter declared: “Look! We have left all things and followed you.” Paul wrote: “I have taken the loss of all things and I consider them as a lot of refuse, that I may gain Christ.”

Not that Christian youths are forced into an austere way of life. Not by any means! Jesus promised them that if they put God’s service first in life, then God would, in turn, add the needed material things. But to combat materialism, it is essential to deny oneself unnecessary luxuries. Emphasis must be placed on spiritual things.

The apostle Paul counseled: “Pursue righteousness, godly devotion, faith, love, endurance, mildness of temper. Fight the fine fight of the faith, get a firm hold on the everlasting life.” Then materialism will prove to be no major problem.

Where there are growing children in the family, sooner or later the problem of dating will come up. How can parents help? Those not guided by Bible principles can easily give misguided counsel. Oh it's fine to Date, it's ok to have sex as long as you use a condom. Christian parents should teach and convince their children that, by Bible standards, views like that are wrong, and that God condemns loose conduct.

Jehovah is a happy God, and he wants youths to be happy with life too—not on a debased, corrupt level, but on a high moral plane. Therefore, he says: “Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart and in the things seen by your eyes. But know that on account of all these the true God will bring you into judgment. So remove vexation from your heart, and ward off calamity from your flesh.”

God wants youth to be happy in a responsible way. For they are accountable to Him for their actions. That is why dating or “going together” is so serious. Dating may serve properly to bring couples together, not for the purpose of petting or necking or sex play, but to acquaint themselves with each other on a social level before marriage. Outside of marriage, sexual arousal can lead to vexation, to emotional upsets and even to calamities such as abortions and suicides. Even couples who are engaged to be married have not the right to toy with sex. Single persons who engage in sexual activities—an exclusive right of married persons—will incur God’s disapproval and inevitably suffer for it.

Parents can help children to appreciate God’s laws by being frank and open with their children in discussing the subjects of dating and marriage. In this way children may gain wholesome knowledge and feel the concern and love that God and their parents have for them. Children can be reminded that their youthful years provide grand opportunities for developing into real men and women, and then if later they want the responsibilities of marriage, they will be well equipped to take them on. They may also grow to spiritual maturity by becoming examples to those who look up to them.

For me, it's hard to just pick one thing to be proud of when it comes to Jesse. He goes to school, he listens to his parents, he loves Jehovah God, and he is putting his spiritual needs first. When I hear that parents allow their kids to date it really scares me. I'm very thankful that Jesse is waiting and saving himself for marriage. Here is a true story about some kids who got Aids.

A doctor is going to tell Cheryl that she has AIDS.

She had heard all about how to avoid getting AIDS. She just figured it couldn’t happen to her. She was just 15. She didn’t know anybody who had it. And Billy was so-o-o hot.

They said Billy was into heavy drugs. Maybe it was true. All she knew was that his smile filled every empty place she had in her. If only he would take her seriously, notice her, treat her like a woman — like he treated the others. If only ...

Then one day, he smiled at her.

Later, when he put his arms around her, she thought the world would be OK forever. He didn’t say much. He just held her, gazed deep down inside her and told her she was beautiful. She felt so good when he was near her, she would do anything to keep it that way.

They had sexual intercourse. Only once. He didn’t use a condom. She couldn’t bring herself to say she had one with her. Her friend Tanya had given it to her — "just in case."

But Cheryl didn’t dare bring it up. What if it turned him off? What if he got angry? What if he walked away? What if he made fun of her? She said nothing. She thought, "Maybe, just this once without protection won’t matter."

She was so worried about what might happen, she really didn’t enjoy having sex with Billy. But she always heard you don’t enjoy it the first time anyway. She just hoped she wouldn’t lose him.

But she did lose him — to drugs. He was even sharing needles with the junkie who got him the stuff. Finally, Billy just ran off. Nobody knew where he went or how he was doing.

That was seven years ago.

After Billy, there was one other time Cheryl thought, "Maybe, just this once, it won’t happen to me." That time, she got pregnant. She didn’t know she was already infected with HIV. Little Danielle is almost a year old now.

Next Friday, when the doctor tells her she has AIDS, Cheryl won’t have time to figure out how she got it. She has other things to worry about now. She has to worry about staying alive. And taking care of her baby. And praying her baby doesn’t develop AIDS, too.

Tanya will learn that her friend Cheryl has AIDS. Cheryl will call her as soon as she leaves the clinic.

Tanya remembers the time she gave Cheryl a condom to use "just in case." Cheryl said she already knew all about condoms and AIDS. Tanya told her, "It doesn’t matter how much you know about it. What matters is what you do about it."

She really hoped Cheryl would take her seriously. Tanya knew how important a condom could be.

There was a time when Tanya, like Cheryl, took chances. She thought, "I’m a good kid. It’ll be OK this time — it can’t happen to me."

But when she missed her period, Tanya went to a family planning clinic for a pregnancy test. She was 16, and she had no idea what she would do if she were pregnant. When it turned out she wasn’t, she was so relieved she cried.

From then on, she decided not to take any chances with pregnancy or infection.

Tanya knew how Cheryl felt. There was a time when she thought Billy was hot, too. But when he made his moves on her, she was ready. He said he didn’t want to use a condom. She figured he was just embarrassed about not knowing how, so she helped him put it on.

Tanya felt hurt when she realized that, for Billy, she was just another one-night stand. Later, when she heard he was fooling around with needles, she was glad she didn’t let the guy talk her out of using a condom.

That was eight years ago. Now, she is glad that Billy is out of both their lives.
Tanya will let Cheryl pour her heart out. She can’t imagine what it must feel like to be told you have AIDS. She is frightened for Cheryl. But she will tell Cheryl that she’s a friend no matter what. She will do whatever she can while Cheryl’s ill. And she will make sure that someone looks after the baby the way Cheryl would want.

All of this would not have happened if and only IF these young females just didn't have sex in the first place. It wouldn't have happened if they just listened to God.

More stories at that site. think about this to. Wouldn't it be more special to wait till you are married? Jesse is and I'm sure whomever he marries will appreciate the fact that he saved himself for her. Have a great day.

Part 4

or even a continued 3 not sure. This week has been a hard week for me that continues to be hard. Being sick, working hard, being stressed, and tired. I wish I could just pick one but I have to pick all.

While God has no limit in power, we do tire out. Everywhere we go, we see tired people. They wake up tired, go to work or school tired, come home tired, and go to bed not merely tired but exhausted. Some wish that they could go somewhere and get a little badly needed rest. As Jehovah’s servants, we also get tired, for our life of godly devotion calls for vigorous exertion. And there are many other factors that drain us of strength.

Even though we are Christians, we are not immune to the problems experienced by people in general. Illness, financial reverses, or other difficulties common to life may cause discouragement, with its weakening effect. Added to these challenges are the trials peculiar to those persecuted for righteousness’ sake. Because of daily pressures from the world and opposition to our Kingdom-preaching work, some of us may be so fatigued that we feel like slowing down in Jehovah’s service. Furthermore, in an effort to break our integrity to God, Satan the Devil is using every means at his disposal. How, then, can we get the spiritual strength needed to keep from tiring out and quitting?

For spiritual strength, we must rely on Jehovah, the all-powerful Creator. The apostle Paul pointed out that the Christian ministry would require more than the normal power of imperfect humans. He wrote: “We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the power beyond what is normal may be God’s and not that out of ourselves.” Anointed Christians are carrying out “the ministry of the reconciliation” with the support of their companions who have the earthly hope. Since we imperfect humans are doing God’s work in the face of persecution, we cannot do it merely in our own strength. Jehovah helps us by means of his holy spirit, and thus our weakness magnifies his power. And how we are comforted by the assurance that “Jehovah will be supporting the righteous ones”

Our heavenly Father is “vigorous in power” and can easily invigorate us. In fact, we are told: “Jehovah is giving to the tired one power; and to the one without dynamic energy he makes full might abound. Boys will both tire out and grow weary, and young men themselves will without fail stumble, but those who are hoping in Jehovah will regain power. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not tire out.” Because of increasing pressures, we may sometimes feel like an exhausted runner whose legs seem unable to carry him any farther. But the finish line in the race for life is just ahead, and we must not give up. Our Adversary, the Devil, is roving about “like a roaring lion,” and he wants to stop us. Let us remember that ‘Jehovah is our strength and our shield,’ and he has made abundant provisions ‘to give the tired one power.’.

Jehovah gave David the strength needed to carry on in the face of great obstacles. With full faith and confidence, David therefore wrote: “By God we shall gain vital energy, and he himself will tread down our adversaries.” Jehovah also energized Habakkuk so that he might complete his assignment as prophet. Says Habakkuk 3:19: “Jehovah the Sovereign Lord is my vital energy; and he will make my feet like those of the hinds, and upon my high places he will cause me to tread.” Also noteworthy is the example of Paul, who wrote: “For all things I have the strength by virtue of God who imparts power to me.”

Like David, Habakkuk, and Paul, we should exercise faith in God’s ability to strengthen us and in his power to save us. Aware that the Sovereign Lord Jehovah is our Source of “vital energy,”

So if you are new to the scriptures or been around the scriptures the point is, if you feel that you are tired spiritually, continue praying for help and Jehovah will help you........

Part 3

In a world that is full of violence it's hard to fine peace unless you are behind closed doors or should I say locked doors in your home. That is the safest place or is it?

No you are not safe even in your own home. Doors have to be locked, children are checked on before you sleep. Windows are double checked just in case. This is the world we live in folks. We live in a world where we are made to suffer in one way or another. The rich are not immune to this. They also lose loved ones.

For Children - take a good look at your parents. Imagine if they were not there anymore. Imagine they are gone. How do you feel. Maybe close your eyes while you are thinking about it. It hurts doesn't it.

Parents - close your eyes are well. Think if you lost one of your children. It hurts doesn't it?

Do you still honestly believe that God wanted this for us? Do you think that he wants us to die and have our family hurt because he wants us with him? If that was the case then he would have created us all as angels in the first place. He created us to live not to die. The lie is we die and then we go to Heaven or hell.

What is the condition of those who die? Really, what happens at death? Much of the uncertainty about the condition of the dead revolves around the understanding of the word “soul” and the word “spirit.” To arrive at the truth concerning the above questions, it is necessary to distinguish between the original meaning of these two words.

To know the truth of these subjects, one must guard against preconceived notions based on the speculations of mere human interpreters. Often, human religious teachers make interpretations that differ from those of others. Therefore some interpretations are bound to differ from the very first meanings of the words “soul” and “spirit.”

At Genesis 2:7 in the Bible we read the statement: “The man came to be a living soul.” Here the word “soul” appears, and it is translated from the Hebrew word ne′phesh. This Hebrew word comes from a root meaning “to breathe.” However, it signifies “a living being, an individual, a person.” When this verse was translated into Sanskrit, the phrase “living soul” was translated “sa sātmaprāni babhuva.” Sātmaprāni contains three words: sa-ātma-prāni. Sa means “with”; ātma is “spirit”; and prāna signifies “vitality, life, vital breath.”The Sanskrit prānin means “a living or sentient being, an individual, a person,” similar to the Hebrew ne′phesh.

To learn the truth about “soul” and “spirit” we must distinguish between their two different meanings and distinctive applications. That there is a difference is clearly seen in the Bible at Hebrews 4:12, where it says: “For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul [prān, Skt.] and spirit [ātma, Skt.].” The distinction is also shown at 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

Most people, however, have taken survival of a person after death for granted. But reasoning persons are not interested in mere assertions. They want convincing proof. There are some people who rebel at the shortness of life. Some even believe that religious people have simply invented survival after death as a way to overcome their sense of insecurity. For some, the heart resents the idea of death as cutting life short, and yet the mind is not satisfied with the explanations given. What exactly does happen at death?

The Bible gives much enlightenment on the soul. It also contains comforting and cheering information on the condition of the dead, and it provides hope for our dead loved ones. The Bible’s description of the human soul is found again at Genesis 2:7, “Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of the dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul. Please note, man did not receive a soul, rather, he came to be a living soul. Hence man is a soul. Therefore, you do not possess a soul, but you yourself are a soul. A living human soul has two vital constituents: fleshly body plus life-force.

Separate the life-force from the body, and there is no living soul. The soul becomes nonexistent. Man is no longer “a breather,” and therefore, is no longer a soul. It is like water made of two gases, hydrogen and oxygen. By combining these two gases in correct proportions, water is formed. Extract one of the gases from the compound, and the water ceases to exist.

Accordingly, at death you do not become a disembodied soul. No, for the simple reason that your fleshly body is a part of your soul. When the body dies, the soul is dead, it ceases to exist. Neither do you become a disembodied spirit. Why not? Because the ātma is the impersonal life-force, or spirit, which animates the living soul, and which empowers the soul to think, move, and live. When the life-force, or ātma, is extinguished within the living soul, the effect is similar to what happens when electricity is withdrawn from a light bulb. The light is extinguished. Where does the light go? It simply becomes nonexistent. It is for this reason that death is the very opposite of life. And that is why death came to mankind as a punishment for disobedience to the Creator of life

The human soul is, therefore, not immortal, but mortal—subject to death and extinction. In confirmation of this, the Bible states: “Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) Consequently, the condition of the dead is far different from what human rishis, or religious sages and gurus, have speculated it to be.

The Bible, as God’s Word, authoritatively states: “Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.” “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going.”—Psalm 146:3, 4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10.

Interesting isn't it? I will continue this Monday. Have a great weekend.

Part 2

So we were meant to live. We were not created to die and it would be upsetting to me to think that God would allow suffering to continue on this planet. Something needs to be done. Something needs to change. Man cannot change the world no matter how hard they try.

Because of Greed - Greed will take over a man's heart so that he is only thinking of himself. Because of Power or should I say the hunger for power, Man will do what it takes to obtain power, remain in power, and step on those who get in the way.

If you look at what's going on in the world, it feels as if we don't have a say in anything. We asked for a new 9/11 investigation that isn't getting anywhere. They can make all vaccinations mandatory. They can remove anyone from their homes and murder who they wish. This is Satan's planet.

Please take the blinders off and look around. Please look at whats going on....I will add more tomorrow

Sad

Well I paid my respects to Jr. It was great to see so many that I haven't seen in sometime. I met Cindy's daughters for the first time and I seen those who remembered me break dancing back in the day. Good times.

What I found interesting is that sometime during the morning I yes yours truly stood next to a Priest. As I heard him speak about the condition of the dead, at times I felt like jumping up and saying " You are lying Sir "

For example, one of the things he mentioned talked about the resurrection. He said that Jesus said I am the Resurrection and the life, he that has faith in me even though he dies will live again. Then he said, the scriptures tell us here that Jesus will Resurrect Jr so he can be with God in Heaven.

That statement is a lie and I felt like saying so. The scripture he quoted if I'm correct was in the book of John. The other part of that scripture says " and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Then Jesus said " Do you believe this? "

What did Jesus mean by that? The priest that he that has faith in me even though he dies will live again which is true but Jesus did not say that he will live in Heaven for the rest of that scripture says that those who exercises faith will never die at all. What does these verses tell us? It tells us that Jesus is talking about two different people here. One are those who have passed away and another are those will will remain living, never dying at all. Just like in Adam and Eve if they listened to God common sense tells us that they would be here today.

So is it possible that maybe when Jesus said that those who exercises faith will never die at all, he's talking about us? Also think about this - if we never die at all where do we go? Folks we stay here.

That's why Jesus could say that those that exercise faith in him will never die at all. By these verses we learn something else. When you think of exercise, you think of something that requires work. When Jesus says that those exercise faith it means that you must live by Bible Standards. Some may say, I believe in God but believing in God doesn't mean anything. You must Exercise your faith. You cannot sit there and just say I believe in God and expect that to be enough. Think of Jesus when he came to the Earth. Do you not agree that he exercised his faith. Do you not agree that his followers exercised their faith.

In the book of James it states that faith without works is dead which is clear. You must have works to prove your faith. You cannot say I love God and Jesus and expect that to be it. There is more that is required......I will discuss tomorrow.

Also sorry for the delay in posting. Since Jr's passing, I left the original post up as a tribute to my dear friend. Jr..I hope to see you in the new system.

Very Sad Loss...

I just noticed today that I have reached 200 posts on this blog. That's a ton of talking. In real life I'm somewhat quiet till I get going. Then you can't shut me up! What kind of person am I in real life? Well I joke to much and at other times I can be very serious.

I love my wife very much. I know that without her that I would not be here today. I mentioned it several times on this blog about her and what she has done for me. Most men hold back their feelings. It's as if it's built in. Tell your wife how much you love her. Tell your kids how much you love them. Don't let a day go by without letting them know. Yesterday, I was told that a friend had died. His name was Friz Schulz but we called him Jr.

At first it didn't hit me on who it was because I did lose contact with those that I grew up with. So when I was told I didn't know who it was at first. So I sat and thought about it and then it hit me. I remembered clearly who it was. I remembered his face. I was closer to this brother Freddy but we were all like family. I'm sure that you even have cousins that you don't see.

I ran into Freddy at Great America in San Jose. We talked for sometime. Both Freddy and I went to the same school. His Brother Jr. was about 4 to 5 years younger. Jr. somehow got together with another Childhood friend who was more like a sister to me. Her name was Cindy. Cindy has two brothers and one sister. Her brother Thomas and I were very close and both our mothers even till this day are friends. For some odd reason Freddy always wanted to beat Thomas up. I think I asked him why at Great America but forgot the answer. I need to ask him again.

Anyway, I didn't see it coming that Jr. and Cindy would get together but it happened and they have a beautiful young daughter Kassandra. When it hit me that I remembered who it was. I was shocked. I was saddened and upset. For those who want to follow the story here it is: http://www.insidebayarea.com/news/ci_11949886

I remember losing my father so I know exactly how Kassandra must feel right now. My prayers are with Jr and his family. My prayers are with Cindy and her family. I know I've been somewhat out of the loop but I want them to know that they are in my thoughts and that I'm truly sorry. Jr. from the little amount of time that I spent with him was a great great Kid. Jr was like a little brother to all of us in the neighborhood. He will be missed.

To Jr........

We don't think about things

For an Iraqi born just before the U.S. invasion, violence is normal life. An Article that I read here : http://www.denverpost.com/headlines/ci_11937058

Which talked about this boy being born just before or slightly after the war began in Iraq. The death and violence that the boy seen is not normal. I only hope that his eyes are shown a better life. But this is the world we live in. This is the world that Satan himself created. This is the world that we are born into and this is the world that maybe we may die in.

I say Maybe. God did not create the world for nothing. He did not create the world to be this way. When I think of this world I think of all that I see in terms of violence, death, sadness, people just in pain over one thing or another. I think of a time when God will allow us to live in his new Earth.

HAPPINESS on earth—it does not seem possible to enjoy it even for a short time. Sickness, aging, hunger, crime—to mention only a few problems—often make life miserable. So, you may say, to talk about living forever in paradise on earth is to close your eyes to the truth. You may feel that it is a waste of time to talk about it, that living forever is just a dream.

No doubt most people would agree with you. So, then, why can we be so sure that you can live forever in paradise on earth? Why can we believe that everlasting life is not just a dream?

We can believe because a Supreme Power, Almighty God, prepared the earth with everything needed to satisfy what we want. He made the earth just perfect for us! And he created man and woman in the best way for them to enjoy life to the full in this earthly home—forever. Psalm 115:16.

Scientists have long known about the human body’s power to renew itself. By wonderful means the body cells are either replaced or repaired, as the need may be. And it seems that this process of self-renewal should go on forever. But it does not, and this is something that scientists cannot explain. They still do not fully understand why people grow old. They say that, under right conditions, humans should be able to live forever. Psalm 139:14.

Yet, is it really God’s purpose that people live happily on earth forever? If it is, then everlasting life is not just a wish or a dream—it is sure to come! What does the Bible, the book that tells of God’s purposes, say about the matter? It calls God “the Former of the earth and the Maker of it,” and adds: “He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited.” Isaiah 45:18.

Does it seem to you that the earth is now inhabited in the way that God meant it to be? True, people are living in practically all parts of the earth. But are they living together happily as a united family, in the good way their Creator meant for them? Today the world is divided. There is hatred. There is crime. There is war.

Millions of people are hungry and sick. Others have daily worries about housing, work and expenses. And none of these things bring honor to God. Evidently, then, the earth is not being inhabited in the way Almighty God originally meant it to be.
After creating the first human couple, God placed them in an earthly paradise. He wanted them to enjoy life on earth forever.

His purpose for them was to spread their paradise over all the earth. This is shown by his instructions to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it.” (Genesis 1:28) Yes, God’s purpose was, in the course of time, to have the entire earth brought under the control of a righteous human family all living together in peace and happiness.

Although the first human couple disobeyed God, thus proving to be unfit to live forever, God’s original purpose did not change. It must be fulfilled! (Isaiah 55:11) The Bible promises: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) Often the Bible tells of God’s arrangement to give humans who serve him everlasting life.—John 3:14-16, 36; Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3, 4.

We can truly be happy that it is God’s purpose that we live forever. If you had to decide, on what date would you choose to die? You cannot pick one, can you? You do not want to die, and neither does any other normal person who has a measure of health. God made us with the desire to live, not the desire to die. Regarding the way God made humans, the Bible says: “He has even put eternity into their minds.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11,) What does this mean?

It means that ordinarily people desire to live on and on, without dying. Due to this desire for an endless future, men have long searched for a way of staying young forever.Where is it that humans normally want to live forever? It is where they have become used to living, here on earth.

Man was made for the earth, and the earth for man. (Genesis 2:8, 9, 15) The Bible says: “He [God] has founded the earth upon its established places; it will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever.” (Psalm 104:5) Since the earth was made to last forever, then man also should live forever. Surely a loving God would not create humans with a desire to live forever and then not make it possible for them to fulfill that desire! 1st John 4:8; Psalm 133:3.

Close your eyes for a second and picture what the Garden of Eden must have looked like. Now picture the entire world like a Garden of Eden. Picture people in that Garden. What kind of life are these people enjoying? Would you like to be one of them? Why, yes, you say! Look how healthy and youthful they appear! If you were told that these people had already lived thousands of years, would you believe it?

The Bible tells us that the old will become young again, the sick will be made well and the lame, blind, deaf and speechless will have all their ailments healed. When he was on earth Jesus Christ performed many miracles by healing sick people. By doing this he was showing how, in this glorious time not far off, all who are living will be restored to perfect health. Job 33:25; Isaiah 33:24; 35:5, 6; Matthew 15:30, 31.

See what a lovely garden home this is! As Christ promised, it is truly a paradise, similar to the one lost by the disobedient first man and woman. (Luke 23:43) And note the peace and harmony that exist. People of all races—the black, the white, the yellow—are living as one family. Even the animals are peaceful. Are your eye's still closed? See the child playing with the lion. But there is no cause for fear. In this regard the Creator declares: “With the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. . . . And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra.” Isaiah 11:6-9.

In the paradise that God purposes for humans, there will be every reason to be happy. The earth will produce plenty of good things to eat. No one will ever go hungry again. (Psalm 72:16; 67:6) Wars, crime, violence, even hatred and selfishness, will be things of the past. Yes, they will be gone forever! (Psalm 46:8, 9; 37:9-11) Do you believe that all of this is possible?

Well, consider: If you had the power, would you bring to an end all the things that cause human suffering? And would you bring about the conditions for which the human heart longs? Of course you would. Our loving heavenly Father will do just that. He will satisfy our needs and desires, for Psalm 145:16 says of God: “You are opening your hand and satisfying the desire of every living thing.” But when will this occur?

To make possible these fine blessings on earth, God promises to bring to their end both wickedness and those who cause it. At the same time, he will protect those who serve him, for the Bible says: “The world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.” (1 John 2:17) What a change that will be! The end of the world will not mean the end of our earth. Rather, as happened at the worldwide flood in Noah’s day, it will mean the end only of bad people and their way of living. But those who are serving God will survive the end. Then, on an earth made clean, they will enjoy freedom from all who want to hurt and oppress them.—Matthew 24:3, 37-39; Proverbs 2:21, 22.

But someone may say: ‘Conditions are getting worse, not better. How can we be sure this grand change is near?’ Jesus Christ foretold many things that his future followers should watch for so that they would know it was God’s time to bring an end to the world. Jesus said that the last days of this system would be marked by such things as major wars, food shortages, great earthquakes, increasing lawlessness and a growing loss of love. (Matthew 24:3-12) He said there would be “anguish of nations, not knowing the way out.” (Luke 21:25) Also, the Bible further says: “In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Are not these the very conditions that we are now experiencing?

Many persons who study world events say that a great change is in the making. For example, the editor of the Miami, U.S.A., Herald, wrote: “Anyone with half a logical mind can put together the cataclysmic events of the past few years and see that the world is at a historic threshold. . . . It will change forever the way men live.” In a similar vein, the American writer Lewis Mumford said: “Civilization is going downhill. Very definitely. . . . In the past when civilizations went downhill, it was a relatively local phenomenon. . . . Now, with the world more closely knit and held together by modern communications, when civilization goes downhill, the whole planet goes down.”

The very conditions in the world today show that we are now living at the time when the destruction of this entire system of things is due to happen. Yes, very soon now God will cleanse the earth of all who would ruin it. (Revelation 11:18) He will remove present-day governments to make way for his righteous government to rule all the earth. It is this Kingdom government for which Christ taught his followers to pray.—Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10.

If you love life and want to live forever on earth under God’s rule, then you must hurry to take in accurate knowledge of God, his purposes and his requirements. Jesus Christ said in prayer to God: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3) What a joy it is to know that we can live forever—that it is not just a dream! But to enjoy this fine blessing from God we need to learn about an enemy who is trying to keep us from realizing this blessing.

Be wise.....

Rich Toward God

At times we can feel very frustrated with what goes on in our lives. It could be a parent, it could be school, it could be a job, it could be someone you love, it could be lack of money, it could be pressure, it could be anything.

This system is setup to fail and sadly we are setup to fail. Adam and Eve both failures in remaining loyal to Jehovah. In turn they set us up to fail. There is no way that we can cheat death. There is no way that we ourselves can make all our problems go away. We can't. You might say that if you were rich that all your problems will go away. If you believe that then you really need to open your eyes. While it wouldn't hurt to have money, money itself changes people.

I know several rich folks in my line of work. The one thing that I think of when I see all that they have is how rich are they toward God? So it goes with the man that lays up treasure for himself but is not rich toward God - LUKE 12:21.

Jesus gave an illustration, or parable, that accurately delineated this human tendency. It is found at Luke 12:16-21. The illustration that Jesus gave is a familiar one which I think I mentioned here before. We note that Jesus introduced the story simply by saying: “The land of a certain rich man produced well.”

Jesus did not say that the man acquired his riches by some devious or unlawful means. In other words, he was not portrayed as a bad man. In fact, from what Jesus said, it is reasonable to think that the man portrayed in the parable had worked hard. At least it can be understood that he was a man who planned and saved for the future, perhaps with the welfare of his family in mind. Thus, from a secular point of view, he can be taken to represent a hardworking man who took his obligations seriously.

In any case, Jesus did call the individual in the parable a rich man, meaning someone who already had in his possession an abundance of material goods. However, as Jesus described it, the rich man had a problem. His land produced much more than he expected, above and beyond what he needed or could care for. What should he have done?

Many of Jehovah’s servants today face situations very much like that of the rich man. True Christians strive to be honest, diligent, and conscientious workers. Whether they are employed or they have their own business, they often do well, even excel in what they do. When promotions or new opportunities come along, they are confronted with a decision. Should they move up or expand?

Likewise, many Witness youths do well in school. As a result, they may be offered awards or scholarships for advanced education at prestigious institutions. Should they simply go along and accept what is offered?

Coming back to Jesus’ illustration, what did the rich man do when his land produced so well that he had nowhere to store his harvest? He decided to tear down the storehouses that he had and build bigger ones to store all the excess grain and good things. That plan apparently gave him such a sense of security and satisfaction that he thought to himself: “I will say to my soul: ‘Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, enjoy yourself.’”—Luke 12:19.

As Jesus presented it, however, the rich man’s plan provided only a false sense of security. Practical as it might have seemed, it left out one vital element—God’s will. The man was only thinking about himself, how he would be able to take his ease and eat, drink, and enjoy himself. He thought that because of having “many good things,” he would also have “many years.” But too bad for him, things did not work out that way. Just as Jesus said earlier, “even when a person has an abundance his life does not result from the things he possesses.” That very night, everything the man had worked for came to an abrupt end, for God said to him: “Unreasonable one, this night they are demanding your soul from you. Who, then, is to have the things you stored up?”

Here, we come to the central point of Jesus’ illustration. God called the man unreasonable. It observes that in this parable, God is represented as using the word to expose “the meaninglessness of the future plans of the rich.” The word refers, not to one who lacks intelligence, but to “one who refuses to acknowledge dependence on God.” Jesus’ description of the rich man brings to mind what he later said to the Christians in the first-century congregation in Laodicea, Asia Minor: “You say: ‘I am rich and have acquired riches and do not need anything at all,’ but you do not know you are miserable and pitiable and poor and blind and naked.”

We do well to take the lesson to heart. Could we be like the man in the parable—work very hard to make sure that we would have “many good things” yet fail to do what is necessary to gain the prospect of having “many years”? The Bible says: “Valuable things will be of no benefit on the day of fury,” and “the one trusting in his riches—he himself will fall.” Therefore, Jesus added this final admonition to the parable: “So it goes with the man that lays up treasure for himself but is not rich toward God.”—Luke 12:21.

When Jesus said “so it goes,” he was pointing out that what happened to the rich man in the illustration will also happen to those who build their life—their hope and their security—solely on material possessions. The fault is not so much in ‘laying up treasure for oneself’ as it is in failing to be “rich toward God.” The disciple James sounded a similar warning when he wrote: “Come, now, you who say: ‘Today or tomorrow we will journey to this city and will spend a year there, and we will engage in business and make profits,’ whereas you do not know what your life will be tomorrow.”

No matter how rich a person may be or how many possessions he may have, all will prove to be futile unless he is rich toward God. What, then, does it mean to be rich toward God? In Jesus’ illustration, the man planned and worked hard only to enrich himself, and he was called unreasonable.

To be rich toward God, therefore, we must endeavor to work hard and have a full share in the activities that are truly valuable and worthwhile in God’s eyes. Among these is what Jesus commanded: “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.” Using our time, energy, and talents, not for self-advancement, but in the Kingdom-preaching and disciple-making work can be likened to making an investment.

So when the world seems it's beating down on you. Think of all the blessings you will have in the future by being rich toward God!!

By this all will know

That you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.A Christian is a footstep follower of Christ. Not only does he believe differently, but he also acts differently from the rest of the world. It affects their family life, their relationship with one another and with those to whom they preach.

It marks them as different from the old world. True Christians are “no part of the world” and do not devote their time, energy and finances to perpetuating it. They do not get involved in its political, social and international squabbles. They “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,” knowing that it is the answer to mankind’s problems.

And, copying the example of Christ, they go from house to house in all parts of the world as witnesses, proclaiming “this good news of the kingdom.” Not as a pleasant pastime, although they find great joy in their ministry, but as the most important thing in their lives they pursue their service to Jehovah God as his dedicated servants.

Those who are a part of the old world are not moved by love of God nor do they long for his new world, but they bitterly oppose those who advocate it. The result has been the fulfillment of the words of Jesus: “You will be hated by all the nations on account of my name.” And the inspired apostle Paul added: “In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted.”

To follow a Christian course in the God-defying old world requires faith. To be willing to swallow personal pride and humbly mold one’s thinking and life according to the truths one is shown from God’s Word, faith is vital. “Without faith it is impossible to win his good pleasure, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.”

But what is faith—the kind that is pleasing to God? One definition of faith given in Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary expresses the commonly accepted idea: It is “complete confidence, especially in someone or something open to question or suspicion.” On that basis, whenever a religious practice or teaching is called into question, the adherent says, “But you must have faith.”

And with such “faith” those who are a part of the religious system are swept along in unquestioning submission to the whims of religious leaders. Is it safe? “A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Both will tumble into a ditch, will they not?”

Luke commended those who did not follow a course of “blind faith” when he said: “Now the latter [Beroeans] were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with the greatest readiness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so.” The faith that one must have in order to win God’s approval is clearly defined in Hebrews 11:1: “Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.”

Christians have faith in God. Not merely because as children they were told that there is a God, but because of overwhelming evidence to which they have given sober consideration, and which is an evident demonstration of the reality, God, whom they do not behold with their natural eyes. “For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are understood by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.” (Rom. 1:20)

The psalmist David considered that evidence and was moved to say: “The heavens are declaring the glory of God, and of the work of his hands the expanse is telling,” “How many your works are, O Jehovah! All of them in wisdom you have made. The earth is full of your productions.” Yes, do not be moved by “blind faith,” but open wide your eyes and behold the orderly movement of the heavenly bodies, the divine wisdom evident in nature, the intricate design and outstanding beauty of creation, because these are an evident demonstration that there is a Creator, that God is.

The night before he died, Jesus told his closest disciples: “I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” “Love one another” why is that “a new commandment”? The Mosaic Law had already commanded: “You must love your fellow or, neighbor as yourself.” But the new commandment calls for a greater love, a love that would move us to give our own life in behalf of others. Jesus himself made this clear when he said:

“This is my commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you. No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul in behalf of his friends.” The new commandment, in effect, says: “Love others, not as yourself, but more than yourself.” By his life and death, Jesus certainly exemplified such love.

Why is it important that we obey the new commandment? Recall again that Jesus said: “By this all will know that you are my disciples.” Yes, self-sacrificing love identifies a true Christian.

Look for the Identity of a true Christian.......................................

Sometimes I wish

That people would just wake up. In the movie the Matrix Neo was offered a blue or red pill. Recall that the world that he was living in wasn't the real world. It was fake. At first Neo did not believe what was being told to him. It seemed to far fetched.

Neo soon realized that the world he was living in wasn't real. It's the same as today. The world we live in isn't the world we were supposed to have. I'm so amazed that people today put so much faith in man. They put so much faith in people who cannot solve the real issues.

This world that we live in is only going to get worse. Take of example what people call Obama. The savior of the world. The one who can bring peace. Many are depending on this one man to change things. History has shown us that Presidents are groomed, Presidents are purchased, Presidents follow those who are truly in Control.

The last real President that the United States had was JFK and they killed him. He did not play ball and his life was ended because of it. Since then everyone that has been in office has been controlled. They have played ball because think about it, if it comes down to you or them who do you think they would select to live?

Don't put your faith in man who cannot solve your problems. Pay attention

More info in our Kids/Parents

Think of this illustration. An arrow is more likely to hit the target if the archer aims and releases it in calm conditions. Similarly, children are more likely to learn to love Jehovah if parents create a peaceful home environment. “The fruit of righteousness has its seed sown under peaceful conditions for those who are making peace,” wrote James. (James 3:18) How can parents create a peaceful environment at home? A married couple needs to maintain a strong marital bond. A husband and wife who love and respect each other have a better chance of teaching their children to love and respect others, including Jehovah. Love and respect promote peace. And a couple who are at peace with each other are better able to deal with conflicts that may arise within the family.

Of course, just as there are no perfect marriages, there are no perfect families on earth at present. Parents may at times fail to display the fruitage of the spirit when dealing with their children. When that happens, what should parents do? If they admit to making a mistake, will it lessen a child’s respect for them? Consider the apostle Paul’s example. He was like a spiritual father to many. Yet, he openly admitted that he made mistakes. Even so, his humility and honesty raise our respect for him rather than diminish it. Despite his shortcomings, Paul could confidently write to the congregation in Corinth: “Become imitators of me, even as I am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1) If you too admit your mistakes, your children will likely overlook your failings.

What else can parents do to create an environment where their children can grow to love Jehovah? The apostle John wrote: “If anyone makes the statement: ‘I love God,’ and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar. For he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot be loving God, whom he has not seen.” (1 John 4:20, 21) Therefore, when you train your children to love their Christian brothers and sisters, you are teaching them to love God. Parents do well to ask themselves, ‘Is the dominant tone of my conversations encouraging or critical?’ How can you know? Listen closely to the way your children speak. You are likely to hear your thoughts echoed when they speak.

A Child’s Responsibility

Consider again the illustration of the archer. Although he may be skilled, he is unlikely to hit the target if the arrow he shoots has become bent or warped. Of course, parents will try hard to straighten the bent arrow, so to speak, by striving to adjust a child’s wrong thinking. But children must eventually decide for themselves whether to let this world bend them to its will or to allow Jehovah to make their “paths straight.”

While parents have a weighty responsibility to raise their children in “the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah,” the final decision as to what a child will grow up to become rests with the child himself. Therefore, children, ask yourselves, ‘Will I accept the loving training my parents provide?’ If you do, you will be choosing the best possible way of life. You will make your parents very happy. Most important, you will make Jehovah’s heart rejoice.

But remember "parents have a weighty responsibility to raise their children in “the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah"

Parents themselves have to listen to Jehovah......

Teenagers

I remember the many things I have done and wished I could have went back. The many things I have done to my mother, grandmother, family. I wish I could go back. My life at the moment is great so I guess whatever path got me here works but I didn't have to learn the hard way.

I wish that I knew Jehovah when I was younger. I've spoken to many who were raised in the truth only to turn away from it and come back as they got older. It's hard for young folks today to remain loyal to God. Is it possible for them to remain loyal, yes of course it is but it's very hard for them. They have to deal with so much and Satan doesn't make it easy. This world is setup for us to fail.

Imagine a girl who meets this guy. She thinks the world of him, sooner or later she loves him. She dreams of getting together and maybe someday get married. This is the story the guy is telling her. OH I love you, I can't be without you. Folks that is lust not love. You don't know what love is till you experience love, true love.

I'm sure most of you have friends who say they love someone. Maybe a few months down the road, they now love someone else. You don't know what love is. If you can turn off love like a light switch then you don't know what love is and ladies don't listen to young guys who say they love you and want to be with you forever. All they are trying to do is to score if you know what I mean. That is their goal. Then you are not a virgin anymore and then they move on to someone else because they are tired of you, that is not love that is lust. That is fornication. If you going to be intimate with your mate wait, just wait till you are married. Share that special moment with someone you love and make it right in God's eyes.

I will break down love tomorrow but if you love someone, you will wait till you are married. If you are away from that person, you will wait for that person. If you love someone your mind will focus only on that person you love and not some celebrity that you will never know on a personal level. For example, everyone loved Chris Brown till of course they found out who the real Chris Brown was.

Everyone loves the Jonas Brothers but do you know who they are when they camera isn't turned on? Don't love Celebrities, they are in their own world. They live in a material world. They care more about themselves than they do God. They are lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God. Focus only on those you love...Till tomorrow.

Those of the opposite sex

I have two girls and soon to have three boys. Of course Parents teach and guide their children through life and because most parents have been there and done that, they can guide their children to remain on the right path. It can be hard and they will make mistakes but for the most part if they respect themselves, if they learn to listen to their parents they can avoid most of the issues that plague most children.

Of course Parents also make mistakes so Parents themselves need direction. They need Jehovah. Since he created us, he knows us more than we know ourselves. Take for example what teenagers are doing today.

Let's start with Alcohol. I remember just two weeks ago walking to wallgreens when I saw a kid that couldn't have been more than 14 years old asking a homeless guy to purchase beer. The first thing I thought of was my younger years because I did the exact same thing. I also remembered the path that I took because of Alcohol. I have spent more than one night in jail because of being drunk in public. I have two DUI's on my record for of course drinking and driving. It took 13 years to get my drivers license. My Doctor told me several years ago that my liver was shot. I recalled all that Alcohol has done to me because I abused it. All of this came to mind because of seeing that one kid asking a homeless guy to purchase Alcohol. I know several who lost their virginity because of Alcohol. Was it all worth it? Looking back - no it wasn't. The truth of Alcohol is mentioned in the bible. In the book of Proverbs chapter 23 verse 32 where it states " At its end it bites just like a serpent, and it secretes poison just like a viper "

Drugs is another area that teenagers face. The first time I smoked weed I was 7 years old. It was given to me by my sister. This is yet another area where if I can go back, I would have never touched drugs. Drugs in my family is more or less a curse. Recall that my father died because of drugs. My sister's life changed because of drugs. My life changed because of drugs. I've done most drugs which of course I'm sure caused most of my violent outbreaks, which caused most of my suicide attempts, which caused again jail. My drug use started with those I selected as friends. You won't find anything in the bible that spells out " Say no to Drugs " but there are bible principles. Just like you won't find a scripture that says, don't smoke but there are bible principles. For those who say that weed can't lead you to other drugs are lying because my family is proof that it can.

Fornication is another area that plagues our children today. Teen pregnancy has been called an epidemic. However, the tragic proportions of this problem are best seen when the impact of a pregnancy upon one frightened teenage girl is considered. At the very least, she will experience drastic changes in her life that will deeply impact not only herself but also her family and loved ones. I am reminded of yet another story about my little brothers friend. I can't remember his name but I do remember what happened. He was 14 years old and he got his girlfriend pregnant. She was 12. Because of the family religious upbringing, the two had to get married. At first all was well with the couple. That was of course till both got older. He started to become interested in other woman while she tried to remain a good wife.
He ended up cheating on her getting a few others pregnant in the process. He has no money, no job, can't support his kids. Reminds me of a saying that goes, anyone can be father but it takes a man to raise his kids.

Isn't that the truth? Kids should not be having kids. The scriptures protect us from this when it tells us that fornication is a sin. A gross sin. Jehovah is trying to protect us. Let me tell you again from experience. I was 18 going on 19 when Jesse was born. My wife was 15. Keep in mind that I was 15 and she was 12 when we got together. Anyway, when Jesse was born it was great but I learned real fast that it took money to raise him and it wasn't that I didn't have money, I did but I had very little and the little that I did have went on Alcohol or drugs. I was not ready to be a father. It only changed because I learned the truth about God and his requirements. It only changed because of a knock on the door. I'm 35 now going on 36 soon. Still with my wife. I have 4 kids with one on the way. I take care of all of them. My life changed because of the knock at the door. Will others accept that knock as I have? Who knows but the point is in all of this is that it was hard not easy. Kids should not be having kids. Kids should not fornicate.

Think about this - once you give up being a virgin you cannot take that back. It only happens once in your life and don't you agree that it should be shared with someone you love, someone who you are going to get married to. Of course that is not the popular thing to do today but it is what Jehovah recommends that we do.

Since God’s Word condemns fornication and adultery, his congregation of dedicated people on earth cannot recognize couples living in consensual marriage. Before they could be considered as acceptably dedicated to God and worthy of being baptized in water, it is required that those living together in common-law marriage legalize it by an official marriage ceremony performed by some licensed or authorized representative of the State, before the necessary witnesses. For those living in consensual marriage the same requirement of legality becomes necessary, if they are to come out of their state of fornication or of adultery from the standpoint of God’s Word. Think about Mary and Joesph

Mary was promised in marriage to the Joseph, who was to become the foster father of her son. But during the time of their being affianced or engaged to marry, Joseph had no sexual relations with his betrothed Mary. He did not even have them after he obeyed the angel’s orders and took the pregnant Mary. He waited till she gave birth to Jesus. Because Mary’s pregnancy was miraculous, Joseph at first thought she had violated the honor of their marriage engagement. So he “intended to divorce her secretly,” because he “did not want to make her a public spectacle” through a stoning to death for moral unfaithfulness.

Joseph’s ancestor, the patriarch Jacob, had been betrothed to lovely Rachel for seven years. Yet during all this time in which he was working off his bride price, he had no sexual relations with her. Only at the end of the betrothal time did he ask her father Laban for her, that they might be formally married and he might honorably have relations with her. Thus Jacob and Rachel made an honorable approach to their marriage. Good account found at Gen. 29:20-30.

Today when Jehovah’s dedicated witnesses get engaged to marry, they may have no sexual intercourse with each other before they are formally married before witnesses and properly registered as married. If they do not exercise self-control but excite themselves when alone, unobserved, and yield to passion and have sexual union, they commit fornication. Their being engaged to marry does not excuse the act or lift it out of the realm of immorality, fornication.

So we covered drugs, we covered Alcohol, we covered fornication, tomorrow we will cover another subject more about teenagers.

Happy Monday

Yesterday was a great talk given by one of our brothers. The watchtower of course was great. It's focus was on Jesus and his qualities. His Love, his compassion, his wisdom, and of course his way of teaching. There is many things he taught.

Today we will cover just a few of them. First Jesus's example can help us to cultivate godly devotion. Jesus knew his Father better than anyone else. And so closely did Jesus imitate Jehovah’s ways and qualities that he could say: He that has seen me has seen the Father also.

Through the life and ministry of Jesus, then, we can gain a deeper appreciation for Jehovah’s tender qualities, thus strengthening our personal attachment to our loving Creator. The life and ministry of Jesus Christ reveals much about how godly devotion should be manifested.

A touching example is recorded at John 19:25-27, where we read: “By the torture stake of Jesus, however, there were standing his mother and the sister of his mother; Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. Therefore Jesus, seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved John standing by, said to his mother: ‘Woman, see! Your son!’ Next he said to the disciple: ‘See! Your mother!’ And from that hour on the disciple took her to his own home.

Imagine that! Just moments before he surrendered his earthly life, Jesus’ love and concern moved him to entrust the care of his mother, Mary, to the beloved apostle John. But why John and not one of Jesus’ own fleshly brothers? Because Jesus was concerned not just with Mary’s physical, material needs but more especially with her spiritual welfare. And the apostle John had proved his faith, whereas there is no indication that Jesus’ fleshly brothers were, as yet, believers. Which of course means that Jesus had brothers and sisters.

The fact that Jesus died for us showed that he loves us. The fact that he left Heaven to die for us shows that he loves us. The fact that he taught us the truth. There is nothing that Jesus didn't help us with.

To illustrate: Imagine trying to explain what kindness is. You might define it with words. But if you can point to someone actually performing a kind deed and say, “That is an example of kindness,” the word “kindness” takes on added meaning and becomes easier to understand. Jehovah has done something similar to help us grasp what he is like. As well as describing himself in words, he has provided us with the living example of his Son. In Jesus, the qualities of God are seen in action. Through the Gospel accounts describing Jesus, Jehovah is, in effect, saying: “That is what I am like.” How does the inspired record describe Jesus when on earth?

The four main attributes of God found beautiful expression in Jesus. He had power over disease, hunger, even death. Yet, unlike selfish men who abuse their power, he never used miraculous power in his own behalf or to hurt others. He loved justice. His heart was filled with righteous indignation at seeing unfair merchants exploiting the people.

He treated the poor and downtrodden with impartiality, helping such ones to “find refreshment” for their souls. There was matchless wisdom in the teachings of Jesus, who was “more than Solomon.” But Jesus never made a showy display of his wisdom. His words reached the hearts of common people, for his teachings were clear, simple, and practical.

Jesus was an outstanding example of love. Throughout his ministry, he displayed love in its many facets, including empathy and compassion. He could not see the suffering of others without feeling pity. Over and over again, that sympathetic regard moved him to action. Although he healed the sick and fed the hungry, Jesus expressed compassion in a far more vital way. He helped others to know, accept, and love the truth about God’s Kingdom, which will bring permanent blessings to mankind.

Is it any wonder that people of all ages and backgrounds felt drawn to this man of tender warmth and deep feelings? However, as we read about and reflect on the living example of Jesus, let us keep ever in mind that in this Son we are seeing a clear reflection of his Father.

Tomorrow we will talk about another area where Jesus discusses those in the opposite sex.

Man

Yesterday's study was great. I don't know if I mentioned this but the faithful slave class lowered the number of meeting days. Before our meeting days were like this

Sunday is our Watchtower Meeting which is a Q&A based on the article for that week where someone conducts the meeting, you have a reader, and you have your those handling the mics. After the first paragraph the question is asked based on the paragraph and those in the crowd express themselves. Before the watchtower is the talk which discusses various spiritual topics.

Then you have our Tuesday School and Service Meeting. First up is the school where you have talk number 1, 2, and 3. This is where those in the crowd are given slips a few weeks before their part on stage to prepare a talk based on what's in the schedule for that week. Talk number 1 is a bible reading where you get to read on stage several scriptures in front of the crowd. Number 2 and Number 3 talk are parts prepared in advance based on various spiritual subjects.

After the School is over, then we go into our service meeting which is local announcements as well as another Q&A based on our Kingdom Ministry. We used to have meetings on Thursday but that was changed to family study which is held at home. Family study can be role playing such as what you will say in field service. Just doing spiritual things as a family which at first I wasn't sure about it because I missed seeing my brothers and sisters but I really enjoy our family study.

Last night was great. Jesse gave his up and coming bible reading which was in the book of Exodus. I think his reading is in a few weeks on stage. Then he gave his next reading which is in April. Then I gave my talk titled We are in Danger which talked about the dangers of being in this system. The Tools Satan uses in order to keep us away from God and how we can remain solid in the faith. Family study was great. Next week for family study, Jesse will give his talk. It's going to be great.

Very Scary Stuff

Accidental Contamination Of Vaccine With Live Avian Flu Virus Virtually Impossible. Czech newspapers are questioning if the shocking discovery of vaccines contaminated with the deadly avian flu virus which were distributed to 18 countries by the American company Baxter were part of a conspiracy to provoke a pandemic.

The claim holds weight because, according to the very laboratory protocols that are routine for vaccine makers, mixing a live virus biological weapon with vaccine material by accident is virtually impossible.

Baxter flu vaccines contaminated with H5N1 - otherwise known as the human form of avian flu, one of the most deadly biological weapons on earth with a 60% kill rate - were received by labs in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovenia.

Initially, Baxter attempted to stonewall questions by invoking “trade secrets” and refused to reveal how the vaccines were contaminated with H5N1. After increased pressure they then claimed that pure H5N1 batches were sent by accident. This was seemingly an attempt to quickly change the story and hide the fact that the accidental contamination of a vaccine with a deadly biological agent like avian flu is virtually impossible and the only way it could have happened was by willful gross criminal negligence.

According to a compiled translation from Czech newspaper stories, the media over there is asking tough questions about whether the contamination was part of a deliberate attempt to start a pandemic.

“Was this just a criminal negligence or it was an attempt to provoke pandemia using vaccination against flu to spread the disease - as happened with the anti-B hepatitis vaccination with vaccines containing the HIV virus in US? - and then cash for the vaccines against H5N1 which Baxter develops? How could on Earth a virus as H5N1 come to the ordinary flu vaccines? Don’t they follow even basic precautions in the american pharma companies?”

The fact that Baxter mixed the deadly H5N1 virus with a mix of H3N2 seasonal flu viruses is the smoking gun. The H5N1 virus on its own has killed hundreds of people, but it is less airborne and more restricted in the ease with which it can spread. However, when combined with seasonal flu viruses, which as everyone knows are super-airborne and easily spread, the effect is a potent, super-airbone, super deadly biological weapon.

As the Canadian Press article explains, “While H5N1 doesn’t easily infect people, H3N2 viruses do. If someone exposed to a mixture of the two had been simultaneously infected with both strains, he or she could have served as an incubator for a hybrid virus able to transmit easily to and among people.”

There can be little doubt therefore that this was a deliberate attempt to weaponize the H5N1 virus to its most potent extreme and distribute it via conventional flu vaccines to the population who would then infect others to a devastating degree as the disease went airborne.

The Canadian Press article states, “That mixing process, called reassortment, is one of two ways pandemic viruses are created,” but then claims that there is no evidence that this is what Baxter were doing, despite there being no clear explanation as to why Baxter has samples of the live avian flu virus on its premises in the first place.

However, to reiterate, the key aspect of this story is that it is virtually impossible for live avian flu virus to find its way into a vaccine by “accident”.In 2006 it was revealed that Bayer Corporation had discovered that their injection drug, which was used by hemophiliacs, was contaminated with the HIV virus.

Internal documents prove that after they positively knew that the drug was contaminated, they took it off the U.S. market only to dump it on the European, Asian and Latin American markets, knowingly exposing thousands, most of them children, to the live HIV virus. Government officials in France went to prison for allowing the drug to be distributed. The documents show that the FDA colluded with Bayer to cover-up the scandal and allowed the deadly drug to be distributed globally. No Bayer executives ever faced arrest or prosecution in the United States.

90 percent of us dead by 2012 is it possible?

Yes We Can!

I think the year before the famous saying was "That's Hot". Yes we can or change you can believe in. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of excitement because of what was going on but really what has changed?

Even if the economy somehow turns around what has changed? The scriptures tell us that man is not meant to direct his own step. Meaning that man without taking Direction from God is going to fail. Notice that everyone around the world has not and cannot solve all of the issue that plague mankind.

Take for example a story that's going on right now. Caylee Marie Anthony was reported missing July 15th. After all her lies the mother is behind bars. Do you think any one on office could have prevented what happened to Caylee? Can they prevent murder? Yes we can. NO YOU CAN'T.

Take for example the homeless. If a shelter cannot take them in, they are left to sleep outside. They are hungry. They are alone. Can this be solved? Yes we can. NO YOU CAN'T. Greed comes into play and while some are helped, most are not. Being homeless myself I understand this life because there were times that we did not eat. My mother and all of us slept in a park. We got help yes but we knew many families who didn't. Mothers who lost their children because it was to cold. Yes we can, NO YOU CAN'T

Take for example Domestic Violence. This isn't done by only men by the way. Woman are crazy to. Right now as I'm typing this, someone is getting punched in the eye. Someone is being murdered. Someone is stepping back into an abusive relationship because of the word I'm sorry I'll never do it again. Can this be stopped? Yes we can. NO IT CAN'T

NO IT CAN'T.

The problems in the world cannot be solved by man. They can't even cure the common cold. They cannot cure most cancers, they cannot stop violence, they cannot stop hunger, they cannot prevent the spread of STD's, they cannot stop homelessness, they cannot stop Drug abuse, they cannot stop Alcohol abuse, and they cannot stop Death. Death, a place we are all heading unless we put our faith in God.

Let's see what Jehovah can do. Can he cure cancer? Yes. Can he stop violence? Yes. Can be stop hunger? Yes. There is nothing that Jehovah cannot handle. Only God can solve all our issues. You might say "But these problems are going on now" True but by listening to God we can have a better life now.

Children will be more respectful. Husbands will be better husbands. Wives will be better wives. Your life overall will be better just by listening to God. He doesn't benefit at all it's us who benefit by listening to him. It's us who life better lives. Trust me....By listening to God we can benefit now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Things that make you Angry

I was thinking about this simply because this morning I was very stressed out. Not because of life outside of work but because of work. Then I took a moment to rethink why I was stressing out. At times a person can get so into what he is doing that when you add to what you were already doing it can stress you out. This is my list so far

1. Order Ac adapters 17 of them under warranty through HP
2. Have to take 2 certification exams today
3. Have 7 laptops to be looked at today
4. Work on data recovery and backup for 3 laptops, one desktop

All of this I have to try and complete today and there are a few items I haven't listed. Thus the stress. I had to take a moment to relax and rethink how I will complete what I already have on my plate but before I do that, I had to stop stressing out. Think of it this way,

For a violinist to make music, the strings on his or her instrument must be taut—but only to a degree. If they are too tight, they will snap. But if the strings are too loose, they will produce no sound at all. The proper amount of tension lies somewhere between the two extremes.

It is similar with stress. Too much can be harmful, But what about no stress at all? While the prospect might sound inviting, the fact is that you need stress—at least to a degree. For example, imagine that while crossing a street, you suddenly notice that a car is speeding toward you. It is stress that enables you to get out of harm’s way—quickly!

But stress is not only useful for emergencies. You also need stress to accomplish everyday tasks. Everybody is under some degree of stress all the time. That is why I am so thankful that I have prayer. I am so thankful that I can turn to Jehovah and let him know how I'm feeling. After speaking to him, I feel better. I feel as if a load was lifted from my shoulders.

So if you feel stressed out, just pray. See how you feel after.

America's Most Wanted

I don't know if you checked it out this weekend but each time I see that show or even watch the news it shows me just what kind of heart people have these days. There was a story on there which touched my heart.

Her name is Rosa and she was just 13 years old when her life changed forever. She went from being a young waitress in a small Mexican village to being held captive as a prostitute and a slave.

It all started when a family acquaintance told Rosa that she could make ten times as much money waiting tables in the U.S. as she could in her small village. It sounded like an offer that was too good to be true -- she could make enough money to send some back to her family, and if she got homesick, she could just pick up and come home.

Rosa's parents were skeptical, but she was persistent. Against the wishes of her family and friends, she agreed to make the journey to America in hope of a better life.

Rosa and several young girls were driven across the border, and then continued the rest of the way on foot. They traveled four days and nights through the desert, making their way into Texas, then crossing east toward Florida.

Finally, Rosa and the other girls arrived at their destination, a rundown trailer where they would be put to work. Rosa was told that she would be forced to work as a prostitute. For a young girl like Rosa, this was a nightmare -- but as she soon realized, she had to do what she was told or else.

Rosa was gang-raped and locked up like a prisoner, until she agreed to do what she was told. She lived under 24-hour watch and was forced to engage in sexual relations with up to 30 men a day. When she got pregnant, she was forced to have an abortion, then sent back to work the next day.

Soon, this innocent girl had become a tragic young woman with several sexually transmitted diseases, broken bones that hadn't healed properly, and an addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Again, this girl was on 13 years old, innocent and just wanted to help her family. These Monsters took her and forced her to do these things. People like these mentioned are monsters who do not care for life.

In the time it takes you to read this post to the end of this post, a woman will be raped somewhere in the United States. She will be alone and will be terrorized by an act of violence and degradation by someone she probably knows. She may be beaten. She may resist. She will undoubtedly fear for her life.

Rape is the fastest growing violent crime in the United States, which already has one of the highest rates of rape in the world. According to police reports, 16 rapes are attempted, and 10 women are raped every hour. Add to that the fact that unreported rapes may be ten times higher!

Monsters is what they are. We live in a world where crime, war, drugs, alcohol, sexual slavery, biological weapons, domestic violence, child abuse, nuclear weapons, really I can on and on. All monsters. This is the world we live in folks. This is the kind of world that our children are being raised in.

This won't happen to me, this won't happen to my kids. I'm not sure what is worse? The fact that you think you live on fantasy island or you think that none of this can happen to your children. It can. In the book of Proverbs it states this at chapter 2 verse 11: Thinking ability itself will keep guard over you, discernment itself will safeguard you.

Let me give you an example. Let's say you see of bunch of people hanging on a corner. Wouldn't it be wise to cross the street instead of taking the chance of walking through them. There are many examples but really, at times we ask for trouble. At times we are off in our own world listening to our Ipods instead of paying attention to what is around us. Folks wake up. We live in a world that is controlled by Satan the devil. Anything can happen to us.

We have to protect not only ourselves but protect our children. Even in our own homes we have to make sure all is locked before we go to bed because it's very possible that someone can come in during the night and take our kids. Stories like this is on going and we hear it in the news often.

For children, keep your parents informed. If you are going somewhere, let your parents know. Let them have the address of where you are going to. Let them speak to the other parents and allow them to drop you off. Don't go out at night and try to come home before it gets dark. Try not to take any streets where the lighting is bad and stay on streets that have plenty of people.

I worry about my kids all the time. Be safe...
